Sol learned to play guitar at a very young age while street performing with a group of traveling musicians in Europe. If that sounds crazy, it is, but don’t worry—he became normal later in life. At age 6, Sol moved to Colorado, where he promptly bluffed his way onto the Telluride Bluegrass main stage. He picked up the mandolin around that time and fell in love with the high lonesome sound of bluegrass.
These days, Sol plays a variety of instruments in a variety of bands around Austin and on occasional tours of the Four Corners states. Along with a rotating cast of local pickers, Sol performs regular bluegrass gigs at breweries, private events, and the occasional busking set.
